About Me

Hi there!

I'm here to help you bloom into your best self! I'm a person centered therapist who works with Adults and Adolescents . I'm South Asian and I’m passionate about providing culturally nuanced care to all my brown (BIPOC/AAPI) folks out there!

I received my Master’s in Education in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling in 2020 from Seattle University. My professional background involves working as a school counselor for 2 years for multiple school districts in the area. In January 2022 I left my job as a school counselor and started my private practice and I couldn’t be happier!

My experience so far has equipped me to work with clients with a wide range of challenges including: self esteem, anxiety, life transitions, loneliness, relationship issues, coping skills, racial identity, school issues, spirituality, stress, women’s issues, codependency, depression, grief, inner child work, and life coaching.

My approaches are Person-Centered, Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Feminist, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative, Trauma Focused, Existential, and Multicultural.

I love my animal friends, bubbles, mindfulness, horror movies, my plant buddies, anything with cheese, and Spring is my absolute favorite season! I am obsessed with Harry Potter and all things magic, universe, crystal and empath related!

I believe that you are the expert on your own wondrous journey through life and I am here to help you untangle some things, heal some things, and guide you through. Feel free to give me a call or send me an email to schedule an appointment and don't forget to play today!

Warmly,

Aysha Rafiq, MEd, LMHC
